FAQ Sheet

How does enrollment work?

Enrollment is relationship-based, not first-come, first-served. We prioritize alignment and shared commitment to homeschooling before extending an invitation.

Is Rooted Farm School a private school?

No. Rooted is a homeschool partnership. Families maintain full responsibility for their child’s education while Rooted provides structure, rhythm, and community.

Is Rooted Farm School a Christian school?

Rooted Farm School is not a religious school and we do not provide formal religious instruction or Bible study as part of the program.

However, our family is Christian and our personal values naturally influence how we approach leadership, responsibility, and community. Qualities such as kindness, honesty, humility, respect for others, and care for creation are important to us and are reflected in the principles that guide the program.

Families from many different backgrounds and beliefs are welcome at Rooted. Our focus is on shared values around calm learning, respectful relationships, and responsible participation in the community.

If a family is specifically looking for a program that teaches the Bible or provides formal religious education, Rooted may not be the right fit.

Our goal is simply to create a thoughtful, respectful learning environment where children can grow, explore, and develop strong character alongside a supportive community.

Why does Rooted cost more than some other options?

Rooted is intentionally small and built for long-term strength. We limit enrollment, invest in safe and well-kept spaces, and continually reinvest into the experience we provide.

We don’t cut corners to lower tuition.

Families choose Rooted because they value stability, personal attention, and a school designed to last.

Who is Rooted for?

Rooted is designed for families who:

  • are already homeschooling or seriously committed to homeschooling

  • value calm, outdoor‑centered learning

  • want consistency without full‑time school pressure

  • appreciate small groups and relational learning

How is Rooted different from a homeschool co-op?

Co-ops can be wonderful when they’re well-run. They often rely on shared leadership, rotating responsibility, and varying levels of parent involvement, which can sometimes create inconsistency in structure and direction.

Rooted provides a consistent, professionally led framework with clear expectations and stable routines.

Families who choose Rooted value structure without carrying the operational load.
